RTT Online ApS is as a data controller responsible for the processing of personal data for online course participants. We are obliged by the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) to provide you with the following information. Purpose of our processing of your personal data
We process your personal data for the following purposes:
- To be able to offer you participation in our online courses and manage your participation.
- To share recordings (video and voice recordings) of course lessons (which may include students' questions etc.) internally with the teacher as well as the other students within the group, so that you for a certain period can revisit the lessons.
- To establish an internal forum where our students can exchange experiences, thoughts and ideas related to the course, share material, etc. in support of the integration process.
- To send you emails regarding information about upcoming courses, materials etc., if you have given us your lawful consent.
Legal basis for our processing of your personal data
- When you enter into an agreement with us to participate in one of our courses, we process your personal data as it is necessary for our fulfillment of the agreement. Our legal basis for the processing is the GDPR, article 6(1)(b).
- Personal data about you in accounting files and documents will be processed due to our legal obligations by Danish law. Our legal basis for the processing is the GDPR, article 6(1)(c).
- Your personal data may be processed due to our video and audio recordings of our online courses. The processing is necessary due to our legitimate interest. Our interest in being able to share recordings of you, including images and sound, with other course participants is legitimate, as the sharing takes place in a closed forum among like-minded fellow course participants. All our students can benefit greatly from sharing experiences and questions with each other during the course as well as revisiting previous lessons. Our interest in being able to process your personal data in this context therefore exceeds your interest in the data not being processed. Our legal basis for the processing is the GDPR, article 6(1)(f).
- Your personal data may be processed due to your use of our online forum on the course platform Thinkific. The processing is necessary due to our legitimate interest. Our interest in being able to process your personal data is legitimate as the sharing takes place in a closed forum among like-minded fellow students. All our students can benefit greatly from sharing experiences and questions with each other through this platform. In addition, only information that you provide in the forum is visible to the other course participants. Our interest in being able to process your personal data in this context therefore exceeds your interest in the data not being processed. Our legal basis for the processing is the GDPR, article 6(1)(f).
- We may process your personal data if your have given us your lawful consent (GDPR, article 7) for us to send you information via email about upcoming courses, materials, etc. Our legal basis for the processing is the GDPR, article 6(1)(a).
Other recipients of your personal data
We may entrust the processing of your personal data to data processors who process personal data on our behalf. We have entered into data processor agreements with these data processors. This guarantees that our data processors comply with all applicable EU rules on the protection and processing of personal data.
We use the Thinkific platform to offer our online courses. Your personal data in this regard will therefore be transferred to Thinkific Labs Inc., 369 Terminal Ave, Vancouver, British Columbia, V6A 4C4, Canada. The transfer may legally take place on the basis of an adequacy decision by the European Commission (GDPR, article 45(1)).
Retention period
We store personal data for as long as it is relevant or if required by law. We will erase your personal data when it is no longer needed.
Your personal data will be erased no more than 3 months after you have completed the online course as we offer our students access to the course platform for up 3 months.
However, we store personal data about you that appears in accounting material for up to 5 years from the end of the financial year to which the data relates, due to our legal obligations by Danish law.
If you have given us your lawful consent to send you information via email about upcoming courses, emails, etc., we will store your personal data until you withdraw your consent, after which your information will be deleted.
Your rights
According to the General Data Protection Regulation, you have an array of rights with respect to the processing of your personal data. If you have any questions as to our processing of your personal data including e.g. the execution of your rights, please feel free to contact us.
The right to withdraw your consent
You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. If you choose to withdraw your consent, it does not affect the legality of our processing of your personal data on the basis of your previously given consent and up to the time of the withdrawal. Therefore, if you withdraw your consent, it will only take effect from this time.
Right of access
You have the right to obtain access to knowledge of the data we process concerning you.
Right to rectification
You have the right to have inaccurate data concerning you rectified
Right to erasure
Based on special circumstances you have the right to have data concerning you erased before we delete it according to our ordinary, general erasure procedure.
Right to restriction of processing
You have the right to restrict the processing of your personal data in certain circumstances.
Right to object
You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data.
Right to data portability
Based on special circumstances you have the right to request us to collect your personal data in a structured, conventional and machine-readable format.

Your acceptance of these terms
By enrolling in the RTT platform, you signify your acceptance of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to this Privacy Policy, please do not enroll in the RTT platform. Your continued enrollment in the RTT platform following the posting of changes to this Privacy Policy will be deemed your acceptance of those changes.
